Helix – 45ft Traditional

Built in 1989. Fitted by Springer. Ruggerini diesel engine. 4 berth – Extendable sofa in rear cabin, Extendable sofa in Saloon. Solid fuel stove, Alde. Pump-out toilet. BSC to 7/18/2025

Helix was a custom build by Springer Engineering for an all steel 45ft boat of 2+2 berth with a long exterior bow deck for entertaining. It has been in the same family since new but unfortunately due to bereavement Helix now needs to find a new home. It has been well maintained and was last surveyed in March 2020 with new Anodes fitted and bituminous paint and then a further dry dock in March 2022 for more bituminous paint. Maintenance work was also started above the waterline including a roof repaint and new side steel hatches but ill health stopped work. Helix was well known in the London canal circuit and has even been on TV, it took part in the 1995 VE day commemoration, Diamond Jubilee Pageant and even had Tower Bridge open for her for a film documentary.
